Learn-to-Group-Ride Clinics

May

All new NCR Spoke Sisters members MUST attend one of our "Learn-to-Group-Ride" (LTGR) clinics before joining a group ride with the club. The clinics help ensure that all our members have a basic introduction to the skills and techniques involved in group riding, and understand the importance of clear communication, and riding consistently and predictably. This is crucial for ensuring the safety of all participants.

Skills covered include:
  • How and when to change gears
  • Bike handling skills such as steering, braking, cornering, accelerating, and emergency stopping
  • How to look behind you while holding your line
  • Drinking and eating while riding
  • Drafting
  • Riding in an echelon (rotation in single-line and double-line formation)

This training gives new members a foundation of skills to build on during the season.

After completing the LTGR clinic, we guarantee you'll be a better bike handler, be more confident riding in a group, and have much more fun on your bike.

*Please note that all participants must be able to ride a bike.
